Alpine Security Sponsors SecureWorld 2018 Alpine Security Sponsors SecureWorld 2018

O’Fallon, IL – October 25, 2018 – Alpine Security is excited to announce that they are a Bronze Sponsor of SecureWorld Denver, October 31 to November 1, 2018. Alpine Security will be exhibiting their cybersecurity training and cybersecurity services (penetration testing, auditing, incident response, etc.) at Booth 121 during the show. They will also be conducting two drawings – one for a free cybersecurity training class, including an exam voucher, and one for a free external black box penetration test. Registration is required for both drawings.

SecureWorld’s 2018 theme is “Fast Forward: Predicting and Preparing for our Cyber Future.” The 2018 event is focused on bringing the realm of cybersecurity to you and to be your trusted source for the information you depend on to secure your data. To facilitate this, Christian Espinosa, Alpine Security Founder/CEO, will be participating in a panel discussion on “Extortion as a Service? (Ransomware and Beyond).” With the advances in cybercrime, thieves are not only locking and encrypting your files, but they are also finding your dirty little secrets.

“Ransomware and cyber extortion are very effective tactics,” said Espinosa. “These tactics succeed because most organizations blindly implement cybersecurity controls without a risk-based strategy, have poor cybersecurity awareness, and have difficulty determining the validity of ‘incriminating data’ used for cyber extortion.”

Alpine Security encourages SecureWorld attendees to stop by their booth to speak with their cybersecurity experts, learn more about cybersecurity strategy, and register for their free cybersecurity course and free external black box penetration test.
