Alpine Security’s vCISO Service Upgrades Your Cybersecurity from Good to Great

Alpine Security’s vCISO Service Upgrades Your Cybersecurity from Good to Great

“A data breach can cripple an SMB or even cause them to go out of business, resulting in job loss and negative economic impact. Our vCISO program helps prevent breaches while maturing cybersecurity capabilities in alignment with business objectives.”

— Christian Espinosa, Alpine Security CEO

O’FALLON, ILL. AUGUST 14, 2019

Alpine Security, a cybersecurity firm specializing in cybersecurity strategy for small to medium-sized businesses, announced the addition of fractional and virtual CISO services to their professional offerings. Through working with 100s of small-to-medium-sized organizations, Alpine Security noticed most of these organizations did not have a handle on data breach prevention, risk management, or cybersecurity strategy. vCISO fills the gap for small to mid-sized organizations that lack the resources to bring on a full-time Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). This service provides organizations with an affordable fractional and virtual CISO solution to help them reduce cybersecurity risk and develop a strategic cybersecurity plan aligned with their business goals.

Many organizations realize the need for a strong cybersecurity plan, but not everyone has the resources and knowledge to create or implement the plan. Alpine Security’s vCISO cybersecurity service develops a custom strategic plan specific to organizational needs. Plans are broken down into 1-year, 3-year, and 5-year strategies based on cybersecurity best practices. Once the strategic plans are set, Alpine Security will guide the organization’s IT personnel on implementation.

Alpine Security has structured the vCISO service to include oversight and guidance in the following areas:
— Initial Breach Prevention Audit (BPA) and initial Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI) baseline assessment
— Interim Incident Response Plan (IRP) [if applicable] — Enterprise risk assessments to determine or confirm critical assets and critical systems
— Strategic cybersecurity plan (includes 1 yr., 3 yr., and 5 yr. plans) in alignment with compliance requirements and business objectives
— Formal Incident Response Plan (IRP)
— Top 10 Cybersecurity Best Practice recommendations to be implemented as part of the strategic cybersecurity plan
— Quarterly and annual cybersecurity program reports
— Incident response
— Annual BPA and CMMI assessments to quantifiably measure cybersecurity maturity progress
